In these important formative years, every lesson learnt is a valuable one. Children who come to Winpenny Infant School develop emotional, social and cognitive skills, in an almost full immersion English speaking programme, and are lovingly encouraged to reach their full potential. We make learning fun and meaningful, by creating real experiences, learning hands on, and working with a project based approach.

Our teachers in each classroom cultivate a sense of belonging and community, a high sense of moral, encouraging respect and empathy in our students, and a sense of responsibility in the school environment, and the world in general. Good manners and self-discipline are demonstrated, and the children are challenged to do their best personally and academically on a daily basis. When working on activities in groups, children are taught to wait their turn, share, lead, and be empathetic towards their peers.

Our classes are developed to highly motivate children to participate, to acquire critical thinking and problem solving skills, whilst compassionately taking everybody’s opinion into consideration, and having a time for reflection at the end of the day. Our classes include, gym, arts and crafts, music, painting, and computers, where children each use their own ipad.

Children are also greatly involved in social work in the community throughout the school year. Drives, collections, competitions and fun days to raise awareness of a cause are commonplace, all with the purpose of teaching our students to extend empathy and compassion to the community and world around them.

Your child’s development is paramount to us, and parental involvement is counted upon, in order for our students to lead by example and be the best they can be.

We look forward to working together with you!
